Blues on the Beach - Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay, May 1st...
Lusty Glaze Beach and Movinmusic Blues Agency would like to announce the arrival of a new blues n' roots event for Cornwall - "Blues on the Beach". This event will be held on Lusty Glaze Beach on the 1st May, tickets £10.
The name ‘Lusty Glaze’ is derived from the Cornish for ‘A place to view blue boats’. Lusty Glaze is privately owned and managed and is one of Newquay’s finest tourist beaches, and also offers an unsurpassed range of beach based activities with many of them being unique in the UK. This beautiful cove is naturally sheltered by high cliffs providing the geography to host a perfect adventure playground on land and in water for all ages and abilities.
In recent years, the beach has undergone a total refurbishment and development programme and now boasts probably amongst the best facilities in the UK. Whether you are a day or resident visitor to the beach or activity centre you will enjoy facilities such as: 450 space Car Park, Mediterranean Style Restaurant, Beach Bar and Sun Terraces, Children’s Crèche, Shop, Hire Shop, fabulous Toilets, Café, Shower and Changing Rooms, Evening BBQ and Beach Huts.

Marcus Malone Band (USA - Headline)
Marcus from Detroit, Michigan USA was first signed by Al Teller of United Artist Records - now EMI Capitol.
Marcus has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Burnley and Colne Festivals in the UK; Harlebeke Blues Festival in Belgium; the Bospop Festival in Holland; Valdagno (Vicenza) Blues Festival in Italy; and various UK Art Centres and Blues Clubs.
Marcus is presently working the European blues circuit, festivals and concert halls including tours of Belgium and Holland. In 2004 Marcus will be headlining or appearing at most of the major festivals in the UK.

The very first "Blues on the Beach" @ Lusty Glaze was a great success. Almost a thousand music lovers enjoyed the evening's entertainment provided by the Marcus Malone Band, the Hothouse Playboys and the Blackfoot Brothers. The night ended in high spirits with revellers dancing on the beach as Marcus Malone strutted up and down the stage front wielding his guitar.
Such a good night was had by all more events will be announced soon.
