Events On 25th October Truro College will play host to a FREE event set up by The Musicians Union in conjunction with The TUC Learning Services (Cornwall)...

The aim of the event is to provide a wide range of information from various music related organisations, offering career, educational, and Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) for musicians, all under one roof.

Colin Hartley, Musicians Union Event Organiser said, “All musicians from all genres, looking to develop or further a career in the music industry will kick themselves if they miss this day!”

The event will include workshops and keynote speakers including Paul Gray, Musicians Union Regional Official, (ex Bassist/songwriter for The Damned, Eddie and the Hotrods and UFO), Chris Warner from Cornwall Youth Music Action Zone and Julian Able, a manager, promoter and record label executive.

Exhibitors at the event will provide information from educational courses, funding opportunities and sources, creative development, employment, CPD (Continuing Professional Development), Community Music initiatives and a whole range of professional support networks.

Other attractions at this free event in half term include a demo surgery and an open mic session. The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm on Tuesday 25 October.
