Events Internationally renowned DJ Jon Kennedy is coming to Falmouth for an exclusive gig...

In a rare opportunity to experience one of Grand Central Records' top artists, DJ Jon Kennedy has taken time out of his busy schedule to bring party lovers an enormous bag of breathtakingly beautiful tunes, copious rump-shakingly fine dance floor corkers and a hatful of innovative ideas bordering on musical genius. Usually found spinning the wheels of steel in places such as Paris, London and Tokyo, he will be in Falmouth at the Princess Pavilion for one night only on Saturday 10th June; ably assisted by The Barnaby Ray Quartet and London based band Humphrey.

Local Surf Company, KT Active, is sponsoring the gig called ‘K Summer Party’ to help support The Dreadnought Centre; a Cornish charity helping children to overcome emotional and behavioural difficulties by using music, sport and creativity. Already keen sponsors of Surfers Against Sewage, KT Active, who are makers of one of the only eco friendly surf bags on the market, have agreed to donate all profits from the night to the Dreadnought charity.

The Barnaby Ray Quartet is one of the coolest musical collectives on the planet. Cool, as in knowing their music inside out and selecting the right rhythms to play to hit the spot. They stretch their musical range to include the hippest sounds around, delivered with such technical virtuosity they produce astounding live performances.

Humphrey are destined to be one of the next big album sellers of our time and have been described by Claire Sturgess, of XFM as: “The Band you should be looking out for”. The band will kick the party into gear with a selection of sublime and uplifting melodies. Their musical genius has been likened to that of Radiohead and Coldplay and their lead singer, a V–Festival veteran, is currently touring with his band at venues across London.

The party will also feature music by MEBA; an exclusive chance to preview the original experimental dance fusion of funky loops, loaded vocals and pumping sounds that are guaranteed to get the party moving!

This eclectic line up will attract music fans far and wide so the organisers advise you to make sure you don’t miss out and book early to avoid disappointment. For more information visit It all kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets are just £7.50 in advance from the Princess Pavilion box office. Tel: 01326 211222.
