PAUL ANTHONY has been around the Falmouth scene for quite a while but I'd only heard him in folk mode until recently when he launched his CD at the Gyllyngase Cafe, quite a revelation!

Paul wrote and sang all six numbers and played guitar and harmonica. As well as providing backing vocals, his band are all fine instrumentalists - Dave Lucas on lead, Stan Guffog, bass, and drummer Phil Sands. The whole is an exercise in versatility, with different moods and styles.

The Title track, Brunettes Have Morphine, was inspired by a certain famous rocker and Heaven 1 More Time is about a mushroom trip but Paul proves that you don't have to live things to write about them with the very punkish and violent Too Much Testosterone - full of energy.

All in all, a very accomplished album which can be obtained from the Jacobs Ladder or Paul on 01326 211385 and Phil 317768. More please.
