Most local music lovers will be well aware by now that The Pirate, alas, closed its doors a couple of months ago. This means that, to my knowledge, there is no late live music venue for miles - shame on Falmouth. As the Packet reported, The Pirate website has been inundated with messages of loss and sympathy from the many, including me, who have happy memories of the old place. It would seem that the brewery has other plans, probably for some up-market activity not unconnected with the opening of the Maritime Museum - bad cess to them! Commiserations and good luck to JP, Dax, Damon, Wiggy and all the staff. We will miss you. TiGeR 4.9.02 |
