Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival was founded and is organised by Falmouth Shout. The continuing work by members of Falmouth Shout, with the support of the RNLI has ensured that it has become a successful and popular annual event...

The Festival has three main aims:
  • To create an enjoyable event for all involved

  • To raise money for the RNLI

  • To preserve and promote the maritime heritage of Falmouth and Cornwall 2010 Festival
The dates for the 2010 Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival will be Friday 18th June to Sunday 20th June 2010.

We have had an enormous amount of interest for groups from many different countries, from all over the UK and of course the usual strong Cornish contingent for the 2010 Festival.

Groups who have so far confirmed they will be performing at the 2010 Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival (additional groups will be updated as they confirm):

  • Hanging Johnny: Plymouth and East Cornwall

  • Mariners Away: South Zeal, Devon

  • Naze Shanty Crew: Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex

  • Rum & Shrub: Cornwall

  • Shake-a-Leg: Bideford, North Devon
