Back in the early summer I had a very good night which began at the Pavilion to hear Geno Washington and the Aces.
The opening act was our own Small Wonder who went down pretty well as always and Geno did a terrific set to round things off.
I went to meet Small Wonder at the Pirate later but got there as they were leaving so got a drink and listened to the band who were sounding good. Another revelation was Paul on sax and vocals because I’d only heard him before at the S&G. Needless to say, the rest of the band were pretty good as well. They go under the name of Full Tilt Boogie and are at the Pirate from time to time but seem to get all over the place. Do as I did and check them on a search with a UK tag – they appear on various sites.
