Events It may still be cold and wet outside, but we have the first signs that Spring is on its way as the Princess Pavilion announce the fantastic line-up of their Spring programme...

As usual there’s something for everyone, and this year there’s lots of homegrown talent in the form of Ruarri Joseph, Rosie and The Goldbug, and The Hitchcock Rules who top the bill twice; with their album launch and as the live sounds of The Walk Fashion Show.

Classic rock fans will flock to The Purple Project which features the greatest music from Deep Purple, and The Hamsters return with their take on Hendrix and ZZ Top, with the amazing guitar of Larry Miller in support. From across the pond Buddy Whittington, the lead blues guitarist with the Bluesbreakers, visits with his own band whilst the ever popular Live/Wire will be exploding (literally) on stage with the greatest classics from AC/DC.

There’s a great magical mystery for all the family when Bink and The Hairy Fairy do battle with the wicked elf Lord Murkor to thwart his evil plan…..Booo! Hiss! As if that wasn’t enough, there’s local productions aplenty with the half term panto Cinderella from Bray Theatre Company, The Time of Our Lives from Lynn Paula School of Dance and the Falmouth Spring Flower Show which is at the end of March.

Big names drop by with star singer/songwriters Clare Teal, Eddi Reader and Imelda May all doing a tum. With top Dub from Zion Train, Ska from Reel Big Fish, World from Baka Beyond, Irish Folk from The Fureys and Punk from the legendary Sham 69 - the list goes on and on! First up is a doubleheader on Saturday 31st January when Cream’d give a musical appreciation of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce & Eric Clapton and Kyndred Skynrd bang out the classic sounds of Lynyrd Skynrd.

Get tickets for all shows in person, by phone and online from the Pavilion Box Office (01326 211222), The Poly and Hall for Cornwall. Pick up your copy of the Pavilion Spring programme from The Poly, HfC, Falmouth Library, Falmouth TIC or view it online at: www.princesspavilion.co.uk.
