Larry Stabbins Quartet
Probably best known for his co-leadership of Latin soul-jazz group Working Week, which recorded five albums and toured extensively in Europe and Japan, Larry also has a long history in jazz and has worked with Keith Tippett, Peter Brotzmann, Robert Wyatt and Jerry Dammers.

While his last album, Stonephace (Tru Thoughts), was loop-driven (featuring Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley), his latest project takes some of that material and transforms it into a live acoustic setting.

Playing music from the new album with pianist Zoe Rahman, this quartet is specially assembled for The Poly and features Larry with the cream of local Cornish jazz musicians.

Expect a synthesis of exploratory jazz with groove, eastern modes and transcendental euphoria! "One of the true greats of British music." (Gilles Peterson)
