Events Falmouth's International Sea Shanty Festival runs from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June...

See the Festival's website for full details and programme at www.falmouthseashanty.co.uk.

Excerpts from their website:

"Help Betty Stogs raise 10,000 for the festival/RNLI during the 2018 Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival! With 24 venues throughout the town, Betty certainly gets her steps in over the course of the weekend. This year, she'll be wearing a step counter from the moment the festival starts on Friday through to 4pm on Sunday.

To be in with a chance of winning from a range of prizes and to support Betty on her 10k mission, simply head to the RNLI stands on Custom House Quay and Events Square, purchase a ticket for a minimum donation of 1.00 and guess how many steps Betty will cover whilst she's on the beat!

Winners to be announced at the festival finale on Sunday 24th June, Events Square.

...

In a bold move in partnership with Skinners Brewery and Seasalt, Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival has committed a substantial sum of money in order to provide 3000 reusable stackable pint beer cups. Bearing the Festival logo, these innovative cups will sell for 1 with profits going to Falmouth RNLI. Experience gained from other festivals proves that this initiative can save many thousands of single use beer cups being thrown away. The move has been welcomed by Plastic Free Falmouth and the Town Council. They will be available from the Festival shops on Customs House Quay and Events Square as well as from the Skinners bar."
